Carolina BBQ Sauce
Making your BBQ sauce obsession to the next level with this Carolina BBQ Sauce. It’s a perfect mix of apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Ready 20 minutes and easy to combine with a number of foods, this Caroline BBQ sauce is a beloved sauce of my family.
1 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
3/4 c. ketchup
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Gather apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, and whisk until combined.
- Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced by about a third, about 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before using or storing.
