Stir-Fried Cabbage and Bacon

1/2 head green cabbage, shredded or roughly chopped
5-6 thick bacon strips, cut into small pieces
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp Smoked paprika
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon brown sugar (Optional)
- Cook bacon in a non-stick pan over medium heat until crisp. Transfer to a plate and set aside. Do not need to discard bacon grease and drippings.
- Add onion into pan and cook until translucent; stirring constantly.
- Add in cabbage, salt, pepper and paprika. Mix to well combine. Cook for about 7 minutes until cabbage is tender.
- Return bacon to pan. Combine together with cabbage. Serve warm.
