Carolina BBQ Sauce

Ready 20 minutes and easy to combine with a number of foods, this Caroline BBQ sauce is a beloved sauce of my family.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

  • 1 tsp. chili powder

  • 3/4 c. ketchup

  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Gather apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, and whisk until combined.
  • Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced by about a third, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before using or storing.
