These BLT Dogs are healthy and incredibly goods. Hot dogs are wrapped with bacon, then baked until bacon is crispy, and finally served over a creamy bed of shredded romaine and sliced tomatoes. These are delicious fillings of hot dog buns, an appealing food for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They are a staple at weekend breakfast of my family. My kids just fall for them.

4 hot dogs
4 slices bacon
4 hot dog buns
1 c. shredded romaine
1 c. Sliced tomatoes
1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. finely chopped chives
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog, securing ends with toothpicks.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until bacon is crispy, about 20 minutes.
- Spread a bit of mayonnaise onto each hot dog bun, then layer romaine and tomatoes inside.
- Add bacon-wrapped hot dog on top, then sprinkle with chives.
- Serve immediately.
