BLT Dogs

These BLT Dogs are healthy and incredibly goods. Hot dogs are wrapped with bacon, then baked until bacon is crispy, and finally served over a creamy bed of shredded romaine and sliced tomatoes. These are delicious fillings of hot dog buns, an appealing food for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They are a staple at weekend breakfast of my family. My kids just fall for them.

If you are finding something good to spice up boring breakfast, these BLT dogs are the way to go. They fit our taste, and hopefully, they also work with you.

Ingredients

• 4 hot dogs

• 4 slices bacon

• 4 hot dog buns

• 1 c. shredded romaine

• 1 c. Sliced tomatoes

• 1/2 c. mayonnaise

• 2 tbsp. finely chopped chives

Directions

• Preheat oven to 425° F.
• Wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog, securing ends with toothpicks.
• Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until bacon is crispy, about 20 minutes.
• Spread a bit of mayonnaise onto each hot dog bun, then layer romaine and tomatoes inside.
• Add bacon-wrapped hot dog on top, then sprinkle with chives.
• Serve immediately.
