Chicken thighs are seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder, seared until golden and cooked through, then cooked with a flavorful sauce of garlic, honey, vinegar and soy sauce. They come out sticky, tasty and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1/4 cup water (or chicken broth)

  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar)

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder to taste

Directions

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder; set aside.
  • Heat a pan or skillet over medium high heat. Sear chicken thigh fillets on both sides until golden and cooked through.
  • For Chicken Thighs
  • Reduce heat to low after searing. Cover with a lid and cook until chicken is cooked through; turning every 5 minutes until done.
  • Drain excess oil from pan, leaving about 2 tablespoons.
  • For Sauce
  • Once chicken is done, add garlic between chicken and fry until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add honey, water, vinegar and soy sauce into the pan. Increase heat to medium-high and continue cooking until the sauce reduces down and gets thicken slightly (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Garnish with parsley and serve over a bed of rice, pasta, salad or vegetables of your choice. Enjoy!
