30-Minute Shredded Chicken Tacos

1 pound boneless chicken breasts
4 tbsp. Taco seasoning, homemade or store bought
½ cup water or chicken broth
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
8-10 hard tacos
Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, salsa e.t.c.)
Directions
- Heat a non-stick pan with oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and chicken. Stir and cook until chicken is no longer pink and onion is golden brown.
- Stir in taco seasoning, salt, pepper and water or chicken broth. Mix to thoroughly combine.
- Cover with a lid and cook for about 15 minutes.
- Remove lid and cook until water is reduced and chicken is cooked through; stirring often.
- Remove from heat and shred chicken; using 2 forks.
- Place shredded chicken onto taco shells and toppings of your choice.
- Serve immediately!
