Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breasts

  • 4 tbsp. Taco seasoning, homemade or store bought

  • ½ cup water or chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp. oil

  • 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion

  • 8-10 hard tacos

  • Salt and pepper to taste (optional)

  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, salsa e.t.c.)

Directions

  • Heat a non-stick pan with oil over medium heat.
  • Add onions and chicken. Stir and cook until chicken is no longer pink and onion is golden brown.
  • Stir in taco seasoning, salt, pepper and water or chicken broth. Mix to thoroughly combine.
  • Cover with a lid and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove lid and cook until water is reduced and chicken is cooked through; stirring often.
  • Remove from heat and shred chicken; using 2 forks.
  • Place shredded chicken onto taco shells and toppings of your choice.
  • Serve immediately!
