Shrimps are peeled and deveined, marinated with a mixture of honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, refrigerated for 15 minutes (or up to 8-12 hours), then seared and cooked on pan (with marinade) until cooked through. Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger (optional)

  • chopped green onion for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Gather honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Place shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or tupperware.
  • Pour 1/2 marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir. To marinate shrimp, store it in refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8-12 hours.
  • Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for further steps.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink on both sides, for about 45 seconds each.
  • Pour in remaining marinade and continue to cook until shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute more.
  • Arrange shrimp and sauce on a plate or bowl over brown rice or steamed veggies. Garnish with green onion if preferred.
