Steak is seasoned with salt and pepper, and seared in pan until get your desired doneness. It’s then arranged on a plate and generously drizzled with whisked a tasty and flavorful sauce of butter, parsley, garlic and soy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 beef flat iron steak or boneless top sirloin steak (3/4 pound)

  • 2 tbsp. butter, softened and divided

  • 1/4 tsp reduced-sodium soy sauce

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1/8 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, minced

  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced

Directions

  • Add a tablespoon butter, parsley, garlic and soy sauce in a small bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Season steak with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Melt remaining butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add steak and cook until it reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 4-7 minutes per side.
  • Arrange on a plate. Serve with prepared garlic butter.
