Stir-Fried Cabbage and Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded or roughly chopped

  • 5-6 thick bacon strips, cut into small pieces

  • 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped

  • 1/4 tsp Smoked paprika

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (Optional)

Directions

  • Cook bacon in a non-stick pan over medium heat until crisp. Transfer to a plate and set aside. Do not need to discard bacon grease and drippings.
  • Add onion into pan and cook until translucent; stirring constantly.
  • Add in cabbage, salt, pepper and paprika. Mix to well combine. Cook for about 7 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  • Return bacon to pan. Combine together with cabbage. Serve warm.
